Education Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Ahmed Ali has been suspended.
An official from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said Ahmed Ali was suspended for a period of one month on Wednesday.
The official detailed that Ali Ahmed was suspended over multiple complaints filed against him by a member of the public.
No further details have been disclosed.
Sun was unsuccessful in its efforts to obtain a comment from the Education Ministry as the appointed media officials had not answered their phones.
The permanent secretary at each ministry is the highest-ranking civil service staff in each ministry. Appointed to the post in 2019 for a term of five years, Ahmed Ali has filled various posts in the education sector.
