Abdulla Waheed, who has served at Maldives Customs Service for the last 32 years, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Customs.
He was appointed to the position on December 27.
He was presented with his rank insignia by the Commissioner General of Customs Yoosuf Maniu in a ceremony held at the Customs headquarters in Male’ on Wednesday.

Prior to his new appointment, Abdulla Waheed was serving as the Chief Superintendent of Customs.
He joins Mahmood Riyaz in the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Customs.
