Lines of private jets are seen at Maldives’ main airport, the Velana International Airport, as Maldives sees an increase in tourist arrivals as the New Year holiday approaches.

There are reportedly around 30 jets at the VIA on Wednesday, with more expected to arrive in the coming days.

Some of the jets are parked in neat rows at the airport’s apron, visible from the Hulhumale’ Highway.
