Ahmed Ibrahim appointed Urbanco’s COO

Ahmed Ibrahim (Pokman) has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Urbanco.

Ahmed Ibrahim is a co-founder of Dhiyares news outlet and its managing director.

Prior to this, he had worked in the judiciary, having attained higher education in the area.

In 2021, he was dismissed from his post as a court officer at Hulhumale’ Magistrate Court. Back then, the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) said he was dismissed for violating the regulations and practices of the judicial sector.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Ibrahim said he was dismissed over a tweet he made criticizing the government.

Following the change of administration – new heads have been appointed to state-owned companies. On November 28^th, former Felidhoo MP Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed was appointed Urbanco’s managing director.
