Applications open for High Court judgeship

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened applications for judgeship at the High Court.

In a statement on Sunday, the JSC announced that applications will remain open until 11:00 pm on November 12.

Applications must be submitted via JSC’s Fahires Portal.

High Court judges receive a monthly salary of MVR 36,000 plus additional allowances.

The current vacancy at the High Court opened after Judge Ahmed Shakeel retired due to health issues.

According to the JSC, Shakeel suffers from sick sinus syndrome and has undergone surgeries to implant pacemakers, twice.
