MACL hosts blood donation camp at Velana Airport

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Maldives Blood Service have jointly held a blood donation camp at Velana International Airport.

MACL said the aim of the camp is to donate blood to thalassemia patients in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility. The company noted that the camp also aims to raise awareness among MACL employees on the issue.

The event was very met with enthusiastic support, with a large number of its employees participating.

The camp was inaugurated by MACL Deputy Managing Director Ibrahim Thoha.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, he stressed the importance of blood donation, helping children with Thalassemia and the benefits of donating blood.

He also urged the people to recognize the importance of blood donation and provide assistance to Thalassemia patients.

MACL said the blood donation camp was part of its efforts for the welfare of the society.

He said he hopes the camp will strengthen the company's contributing role in providing assistance to the needy.
