Sri Lankan who went fishing found dead

A man who went missing after going into the waters off north east of Hulhumale’ Phase II has been found dead.

A police spokesperson said the man was reported missing to the authorities on Monday morning.

He was later found dead in the lagoon to the north east of Hulhumale’ Phase II.

Police identified the deceased as a 55-year-old Sri Lankan male.

The Hulhumale’ Hospital reports he was already deceased when taken to the hospital, said a police spokesperson.

The police are looking into the death.
