Missing 12-year-old found safe

A young girl reported missing from Hulhumale’ has been found in Male’.

Aishath Bint Mamdhooh Riyaz, 12, Gahaakolhi, Raa Maakurath, went missing at around 06:00 pm on Wednesday.

She was reported missing to the police before 01:00 am on Thursday.

The police issued a statement announcing she was found from Male’ at around 01:44 pm.

She was found safe, said the police.

The young girl’s disappearance had prompted her family to make an urgent appeal for help on social media.
