Three arrests made in connection to sexual assault of young woman in Villingili

Three people have been arrested in connection to the sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman at Villingili in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

Police identified the suspects arrested as three men; a 20-year-old, a 24-year-old and a 30-year-old. They were all arrested under a court order last night.

Police have not disclosed any further details regarding the case.

They announced the probe into the sexual assault on June 29^th.

Police are also investigating the attempted rape of an expatriate nurse in Thimarafushi in Thaa Atoll on July 18^th.
