Elections Commission (EC) announced Thursday that ballot boxes will be kept in eight other countries for the upcoming presidential election.
EC’s vice chairman Ismail Habeeb said ballot boxes will be kept in nine cities in eight foreign countries. However, polling stations will be set up if at least 150 voters register for the ballot boxes.
The eight countries are:
Total 283, 272 people are eligible to vote in the election scheduled for September 9. EC plans on using 800 ballot boxes, including in polling stations overseas.
