President Solih arrives in Male’ after concluding UK trip

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Monday morning, arrived in Male’ City after concluding an official visit to the United Kingdom (UK) to attend the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla.

The coronation was held on Saturday at Westminster Abbey.

President Solih was accompanied by First Lady Fazna Ahmed during this trip.

During the visit, he also took part in the Commonwealth Leaders event held at Marlborough House, London on Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Commonwealth Charter.

King Charles III came to power with the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 in September 2022.

The first couple had traveled to UK back then to convey condolences to King Charles III and his family and attend the funeral of the late Queen.
