Committee reviews Shirveen’s appointment to PCB

The recent appointment of a new member to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has been sent to the Parliament’s State-Owned Enterprises Committee (SOE) for review.

Fathimath Shirveen was appointed as a member of the PCB on Monday.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih sent a letter to the Parliament seeking approval for the appointment the same day.

The letter was sent to the SOE Committee for review during the parliamentary sitting Thursday.

Shirveen was appointed to PCB as a representative of the legal sector.

She obtained a Master of Law from University of Cambridge, England.

Prior to her appointment, she worked as the State Counsel of the Attorney General’s Office. She is also an executive member of the NGO, Family Legal Clinic.
