The highest number of marriages so far this year were officiated in March, according to the Family Court.

The statistics released by Family Court shows the court officiated 195 marriages in January, and 178 marriages in February,

The figure jumped to 245 in March.

Divorces were also higher in March compared to February. The court registered 98 divorces in February and 115 in March.

The statistics show 50 divorce petitions were filed with the court in March. 30 petitions remain pending.

The court also saw the submission of four domestic violence cases, and three cases related to children in March.

One reason for the high number of marriages in March could have been the catchy dates that came in that month.
