Staff of Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, donated educational toys and books to the children based at the state-run children’s shelter, Fiyavathi, located in Hulhumale’.
BML staff, in the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan, donated toys, books, art and craft materials, stationaries, board games, puzzles, and more items under this initiative aimed at positively impacting the community.
Speaking to Sun regarding the generous donation, BML’s Public Relations Manager Mohamed Saeed said that the initiative was spearheaded by the bank’s staff.
“All the gifts are a direct donation from BML staff. On this opportunity, I express immense gratitude to the staff” he added.
During last year’s Ramadan – BML donated essential food items for the ‘Help a Family’ initiative organized by MOMS to support vulnerable families. BML also donated to the ARC AID program over the past three years to assist vulnerable families during Ramadan.
