Local telecom operator, Dhiraagu, has partnered with the non-government organization, Moms Aid, to support 100 vulnerable families this Ramadan under Moms Aid’s ‘Ramadan Aid Campaign 2023’.

‘Ramadan Aid’ is a key program by Moms Aid, a national charity founded to empower and support women, especially mothers across the country, to provide care packages with food items for families in need nationwide.

It ensures that vulnerable families in the Maldives receive the support they need to thrive. Dhiraagu states that the campaign will be ongoing during Ramadan and is also open for donations from the public.

Dhiraagu’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Bishaara Hameed said supporting women and vulnerable communities across the Maldives is a key focus of the company’s CSR program.

“Supporting women and vulnerable communities is a key focus area in our CSR program and we take this opportunity to thank and appreciate the valuable role by Moms Aid to make a positive impact on families in need across the Maldives,” she said.

Program Director at Moms Aid, Fathimath Umra, thanked Dhiraagu for their contribution to the campaign.

“Their support will enable us to provide care packages with food essentials for this holy month of Ramadan to mothers in need including single mothers, mothers with disabilities, and mothers caring for children with disabilities,” she said.
