Motorbike driven by minor crashes into bus

A motorcyclist who was fleeing from the police crashed into an MTCC bus in a road accident on Wednesday.

Maldives Police Service’s Spokesperson said a driver of a motorbike was asked to stop by police officers following a collision with a police car. However, Police said the driver sped away and later crashed into a bus and the police car in pursuit on Sinamale’ Bridge in a three-way accident at approximately 6:31pm this evening.

Although the accident did not lead to any injuries – the motorbike, the police car, and the bus recorded damage to various extents.

Police, noting the motorbike was driven by a minor, said that the case was under further investigation.
