Council prepares app for Vilimale’ buggy service

The Male’ City Council has begun testing a special app it has prepared for the launch of buggy services in suburban Vilimale’.

Deputy Mayor Ahmed Nareesh told Sun that the council is making the latest preparations for the launch of buggy services on Thursday.

He said that the council had prepared an app for the service, and is currently testing it.

The app will allow commuters to check the buggy routes and make online bookings.

Nareesh said the app will be released as soon as the tests are done.

The city council said it aims to provide affordable and quality services to the general public.

The council said the buggy service will be a huge convenience to the residents of Vilimale’.

Announcing the launch date of buggy services in Vilimale’, Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said the services will be free throughout the upcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

It will also be free year-round for children under the age of two years, adults above the age of 65 years, students in school uniform, and people with disabilities registered with the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).
