Maldivian government has held separate meetings with the governments of Saudi Arabia and Oman where they discussed the financial and economic issues of the Maldives.
These meetings were held during official visits taken by Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer and other government officials to Oman and Saudi Arabia in the past week.
In the meeting in Oman, the country's Finance Minister Sultan bin Salim al Habsi and Minister Ameer discussed financial matters that concern both countries and areas where both countries can collaborate and work together.
Minister Ameer also met with Oman’s Minister of Energy Salim bin Nasser bin Said al Aufi and discussed how both countries can work together with respect to economics and energy.
Ameer visited Saudi Arabia later, where he met with the country’s leaders as well. No details of these meetings have been made public by any official government offices so far.
