Two missing after departing from Vilimale’ on fuel barge

Police have launched a search operation to find two people reported missing since their departure from Vilimale’ on a fuel supply boat.

The two people reported missing are:

• Mohamed Nizam, 45, Manaaru, GDh. Thinadhoo
• Mohamed Liton, 35, Bangladesh

They departed from Vilimale’ on the fuel boat on December 28, and were reported missing on December 29.

Police have asked for anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to call the police hotline at 3322111 or the Serious and Organized Crime Department at 9911099.
