Eight NGOs win BML Small Grants

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the winners of Small Grants fund – which supports NGOs implement community-based projects that address environmental issues and promote sustainable development.

The eight NGOs to win the BML Small Grants were announced Thursday.

They are:

  • Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)
  • Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT)
  • Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD)
  • Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi)
  • Women in Fuvahmulah
  • Small Island Research Group
  • Huvadhoo Aid
  • Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS)

Each NGO will receive a grant of MVR 250,000 to successfully implement their plan.

The BML Small Grants fund was launched in March as part of the series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the national bank’s 40th anniversary in November.
