Applications open for food stalls at HDC’s SmartCom Fair

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened applications for people interested in running food stalls at the SmartCom Fair to be held upcoming weekend.

HDC has asked interested parties to submit applications by 12:00 pm Wednesday.

The SmartCom Fair is scheduled to be held from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm and 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday.

According to HDC, the SmartCom Fair aims to educate people on applications and other digital platform for services, familiarize people with modern technology, and prepare ‘Smart Citizens for a Smart City’.

HDC said the fair will be held annually under its project to develop Hulhumale’ as a smart city.

HDC said the fair will also raise awareness to prevent cybercrimes – which has seen an increase in recent months, and provide important information on smart solutions and other digital services.
