MTCC awarded MVR 47M project to upgrade Neykurendhoo harbor

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded a MVFR 47 million project to upgrade the harbor in HDh. Neykurendhoo.

The contract was signed by Planning Ministry’s Director General Fathimath Shana Farooq and MTCC’s COO Shahid Hussain Moosa in a ceremony at the Planning Ministry headquarters in Male’ City on Monday.

The scope of the project includes:

  • Harbor basin dredging operations of 32,322 cubic meters
  • Construction of a 290-meter breakwater
  • Construction of a 76-meter channel breakwater
  • Construction of a 166-meter revetment
  • Construction of a 212-meter scoring apron
  • Construction of a 212-meter quay wall
  • Installation of harbor pavement in an 1,859 square meter area
  • Installation of street and navigational lights

MTCC is required to complete the project within one year.
