Dhiraagu provides much-needed resources to Jalaluddin School’s Special Education Unit

Dhiraagu has extended support to the Special Education Unit of Jalaluddin School in Kulhudhuffushi City under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, providing much-needed resources to educate students with special needs.

A special ceremony was held at Jalaluddin School on Tuesday to handover the resources, which included computer systems, furniture, gym exercise balls, books and puzzles and other resources as required by the unit.

The ceremony was attended by Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif, Dhiraagu management, Jalaluddin School management, students, and parents as well as the team from Dhiraagu Kulhudhuffushi Operations Center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Athif said that any contribution made towards education is an important investment made for the future.

“Therefore, we thank Dhiraagu for this generous contribution to Jalaluddin School’s Special Education Unit, which I am certain will make an important and sustainable impact to the students and teachers at the school,” he said.

Dhiraagu’s Director – Brand and Marketing Communications, Mohamed Mirshan Hassan said that caring for children and empowering young people is a key focus area of the company’s CSR program.

“As such, we remain dedicated to supporting initiatives such as this which not only contributes to education, but also helps to create more inclusive communities across the country,” he said.

Jalaluddin School’s Principal Aminath Mohamed thanked Dhiraagu for their support.

“Our utmost appreciation goes to Dhiraagu for their support and contribution. These resources will greatly help the school’s Special Education Unit as well as support our overall focus on inclusive education for all,” she said.

Dhiraagu said it remains committed to serving the community, in empowering young people and communities across the Maldives.
