Committee: National Award of Honor to 10, National Award of Recognition to 22

The National Award Committee of the President’s Office on Wednesday announced that this year, the ‘National Award of Honour’ will be presented to 10, and the ‘National Award of Recognition' to 22.

As per the announcement, this year, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will confer the National Award of Recognition on 19 individual recipients and three organizations.

Moreover, it stated that five of this year’s National Award of Honour awardees will be previous National Award of Recognition recipients.

The official ceremony for this year is slated to be held at Dharubaaruge, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 2030hrs.

During the ceremony, the President will present the awards, and will also be giving a speech addressing the nation.

The National Awards are conferred annually to recognize and encourage the efforts of individuals and organizations that contribute to the nation’s development and society’s benefit. 

Recipients of these awards are vetted and selected by the National Awards Committee.
