President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Sunday, departed to K. Kaashidhoo to partake in the activities being held at the island to mark National Farmers’ Day and World Food Day.
The President declared October 15 as National Farmers’ Day in 2020. Meanwhile, October 16 is celebrated across the globe as World Food Day.
During his visit to Kaashidhoo, President Solih will attend the official reception and special banquet held to mark the occasion at Kaafu Atoll Education Centre. He will also inspect an exhibition held at the Education Centre as part of the activities and meet with the farmers.
Apart from this, President Solih will also hold meetings with the members of Kaashidhoo Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC). He will also tour the health centre on the island.
The President will conclude this trip and return to Male’ City on Monday.
