BML honors top employees during staff award night

Bank of Maldives’ on Friday night held its annual stadd awards ceremony, during which top-performing employees were honored with a series of accolades.

The ceremony with its celebrations was held at the Social Centre, in Male’ City.

In-charge of the Bank and Acting MD Aishath Noordeen along with members of BML's Board of Directors and Executive Committee presented the awards to the staff.

Some of the highlighting awards such as the coveted 'Employee of the Year' was scooped up by Hassan Aqleem (North Cluster Manager) and Mohamed Ashraf (Head of People Development).

Meanwhile, Fathimath Farihath Waheed (Head of Cards & Payment Governance), Abdulla Sobah (Senior Manager, Premium Banking), and the BML Mobile App Team were the recipients of the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Additionally, Mohamed Saeed (Public Relations Manager) received the Best Leader Award and Ali Zaid Mohamed (Compliance Manager) received the Best Manager Award.

The ceremony also included awarding staff and teams who excelled over the past year, in various categories. 

This included Best Atoll Branch, Best Team, Best Atoll Employee, Customer Service Star, and Award for Innovation. 

Speaking at the ceremony MD Noordeen congratulated all the winners, and express her deep appreciation to all the staff for their immense contribution and commitment.

"As we look forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary next month, it is wonderful to recognize and appreciate our staff who are behind the Bank’s growth and success over the years.”

According to BML, staff awards represent one component of their focused human resources strategy.

Notably, BML has received the prestigious “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award” for the fourth consecutive year.
