Youth paralyzed after being stabbed at Velidhoo

A youth who was injured in a stabbing incident at N. Velidhoo, has been paralyzed prompting efforts to transport the injured to Male’ City for further treatment.

A Velidhoo resident who spoke to Sun on Wednesday night said that the incident occurred this evening, and that the youth was stabbed in his back.

“One leg has been paralyed,” the resident added.

Police have yet to make a statement regarding the incident.
