Many activities and ceremonies are being held across all schools in the Maldives, to mark Teachers’ Day.
One of the long-standing concerns of teachers in the Maldives was the inadequate salary for the hard work they undertake. Addressing the concern was one of President Solih’s electoral pledges, which has been fulfilled.
With major changes to the salary framework of teachers during this administration, the salaries and allowances of teachers have increased significantly.
