MACL Aero Residence’s tenants receive their keys

Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) has handed over the keys to the tenants of the MACL Aero Residence, built under the Hiyaa Housing Project in Hulhumale’ to provide housing to MACL’s staff.

The ceremony in Hulhumale’ Phase II on Saturday morning was attended by Housing Minster Mohamed Aslam, MACL’s Managing Director Mahjoob Shujau, and senior officials from the company and the government.

The two towers of MACL Aero Residence have 384 apartments; 144 one-bedroom apartments and 240 apartments with two bedrooms and a maid room.

312 apartments were designated for MACL’s staff, while the remaining 72 apartments were sold to the public.

The one-bedroom apartments built under the project cost MVR 1.3 million, while the two-bedroom apartments cost approximately MVR 2 million.

MACL offers flexible payment plans, and has extended the payment period from 15 to 20 years.
