President observes Officers Range Day 2022 activities

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih observed activities held by Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) to mark ‘Range Day 2022’ at the Girifushi Training Center.

This year’s Range Day activities commenced on June 1.

The President in his visit observed a display of the latest weapon systems attained in order to increase operational capacities.

MNDF stated that as part of the display, the President observed new weapons attained for military purposes, personal weapons, and sports weapons.

The shooting of the weapons was also carried out in the Girifishi shooting range.

The President was joined by Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi, Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, General Officers and other senior officials at MNDF.
