Teen in ICU after accident in Thinadhoo

A road accident took place in GDh. Thinadhoo on Thursday, resulting in crucial injuries to a teenage boy.

Police said the accident took place in the reclaimed are in northern Thinadhoo.

The accident resulted in injuries to a 16-year-old boy, after fell from the motorcycle he was driving, said the police.

He was taken to the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

 Thinadhoo councilor Ahmed Waheed told Sun that the boy had taken his mother’s motorcycle, and had gone out for a drive with a group of friends.

Ahmed said the boy was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.

They are working on transferring him to Male’ as soon as possible, he said.

The accident is under investigation by the police.
