MNSDA kicks off series of seminars

Maldives National Skills Development Authority (MNSDA) has held the first seminar under a series of seminars on Sunday  

The seminar was officiated by Higher Education Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan. It was also attended by State Ministers, Deputy Ministers, assessors and training providers registered with MNSDA, technical panel members, members of sector councils and experts in the TVET sector.

The seminars pertain to National Trade Testing and Certification (NTTC) and National Apprenticeship Program (NAP).

Purpose of the seminar is to brief relevant authorities on how NTTC and NAP will proceed in addition to create awareness amongst people regarding these programs.

Speaking to officiate the seminar – Minister Hassan said that the purpose of NTTC was to facilitate a national level certification for those individuals who have attained technical skills without an official training.

He also added NAP organized by MNSDA allows individuals to attain training within a work environment – to then attain a national level certification.

Highlighting the importance of developing the TVET sector in the Maldives – Minister Hassan said that the Ministry allocates high priority to develop the country’s vocational sector as well.
