Dhiraagu has announced the intake for this year’s apprenticeship program.

The announcement was made at a special event held at Dhiraagu head office on Wednesday.

Dhiraagu states that its apprenticeship program is one of the company’s key CSR initiatives, designed to empower youth by developing them through a structured educational training program, enhancing their work skills and familiarizing them to the corporate working environment.

The opportunity to participate in this year’s apprenticeship program is open in Male’, and in operations centers in Fuvahmulah City, B. Eydhafushi, L. Atoll, and Kulhudhuhfushi City.

Any Maldivian between the age of 18-30, with an A-level qualification and above who have not been employed in a full-time job are eligible to participate in the program.

Dhiraagu states the program will allow participants to gain experience and training in various fields such as administration, stores and procurement, corporate services, financial accounting, credit control and collections, mobile radio networks, fixed mobile and TV core, consumer services, sales, market research and analysis, marketing communications and public relations, information systems, and roaming and carrier services.

Dhiraagu launched its apprenticeship program in 2009. Over 228 apprentices have enrolled in the program over the years, some of them now serving in high ranked posts in Dhiraagu and in other various corporate entities.

All apprentices who join the program will be trained by in-house staff specialists on soft skills development, essential knowledge in areas such as time management, personal management, project planning, presentation skills, and more.

Interested applicants have been invited to come to the Dhiraagu head office with their CV and supporting documents between 02:00 pm and 04:00 pm on June 9 for a walk-in interview.

A team from Dhiraagu will also be at the Maldivian National University (MNU) job festival from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Wednesday to answer queries.

Dhiraagu states it is committed to enriching lives of the future corporate leaders by giving them the opportunity to develop their skills through intense on-site training and under the guidance of a highly qualified management team.
