In an effort to reconnect with the travel trade from the Middle East, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is participating in Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2022 to promote the island nation as an ideal tourist destination.
ATM 2022, which kicked off on Monday, is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Maldivian delegation at the event comprises 62 companies; making the event the largest such activity held so far this year, with the largest stand and delegation of representatives.
MMPRC’s Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed stated that the event was a great opportunity for the Maldives to further market the destination in the Middle East market.
“The Middle East consists of some of our major source markets, who seek the niche and luxury travel experiences that the Maldives has in abundance. It gives us great pleasure to be part of this event and to inform the travel trade and travelers from this market about what makes the Maldives the World’s Leading Destination!” he had said.
The event set to continue till Thursday will see meetings and networking sessions taking place in line with promoting the Maldivian brand. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also executed between MMPRC and Qatar Airways during the event; with Managing Director Thoyyib representing MMPRC and CEO Thierry Antinori representing the airline.
On the sidelines of the ATM event, a separate destination press conference will be held in conjunction with MMPRC’s ongoing Golden Jubilee of Tourism celebration.
Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is the leading global event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East. For the last twenty-eight years, their annual event has connected products and destinations from around the world with buyers and travel trade visitors.
