Police ID man found dead on Male’ street

Police state they have identified the man found dead on a street in Male’ City on Wednesday.

The man was found collapsed near the BG Garage on Murangu Magu in Maafannu district of Male’ City on late Wednesday evening.

He was pronounced dead when taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Police had asked for public’s assistance in identifying the man.

Police said on Thursday morning that the man has been identified as a 58-year-old Maldivian citizen.

His family is being cooperative, said the police.
