President discusses developmental plans with Naivaadhoo council

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday held discussions surrounding the developmental plans for Hdh. Naivaadhoo, with the members of the island council.

In the meeting held at the President’s Office, also discussed the affairs of Naivaadhoo residents in addition to the administration’s developmental plans for the island.

The council members discussed with the President harbour expansion, water and sewerage, land reclamation, and coastal protection projects.

Additionally, they highlighted the need for tourism development closer to the island.

Furthermore, the council members highlighted the challenges posed due to space constraints in the council's secretariat, health centre and school, as well as the shortage of staff at the health centre and council secretariat.

They also discussed the need for a volleyball stadium and other requirements for the socio-economic development of the island.

Meanwhile, President Solih briefed them on the latest ongoing developmental projects and plans for the island.

Addressing the concerns raised by the council members, the President assured them that the administration would work towards addressing them, especially staff shortage issues.
