Applications open for SME loan

SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) has opened loan applications small and medium enterprises.

SDFC resumed accepting loan applications for ‘Dhanduveri Nafaa’ loan and ‘Viyafaari Ehee’ loan on Sunday.

The corporation states that applications for the rest of loans will resume on May 1.

SDFC has instructed interested parties to submit loan applications through the SDFC Customer Portal on the corporation’s website.

Application forms are also available on the website.

The ‘Dhanduveri Nafaa’ loan is offered to local farmers in collaboration with the Fisheries Ministry, while the ‘Viyafaari Ehee’ loan offers short term financial support to SMEs.

Top priorities for SME loans are;

Farming, local tourism, fisheries, manufacturing and information technology are some of the key focus areas for SME loans.
