The Islamic University of Maldives and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced a joint effort to conduct Quran classes in mosques located in the greater Male’ region.
Speaking about this initiative, the Dean of IUM’s Quran and Sunnah Al Sheikh Mohamed Mansoor stated that classes will be conducted in 11 mosques.
He further stated that these classes will be taken after Asr prayers, on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
“We have decided to conduct classes in 11 mosques including Vilimale, Hulhumale’ and Male’. The classes will be taken four days a week.”
Moreover, he noted that the classes are open for both adults and youngsters, and all those interested can take part in them.
“This is a golden opportunity, even for adults to assess their level of talent in reciting the Quran.”
Additionally, Masoor said that there will be no fees taken for these classes and that after prayers, those interested can gather together and proceed.
