Bank of Maldives (BML) on Monday announced the opening of a self-service ATM centre in R. Maduvarri, as part of its strategy to expand banking services to support local communities
According to the bank, the new ATM centre will provide cash withdrawal, deposit and transfer services to individuals and businesses on a 24-hour basis.
Currently, there are two branches of BML with self-service facilities in two islands of Raa Atoll - Ungoofaaru and Meedhoo.
Moreover, in addition to Maduvvai, there are self-service centres in Alifushi and Dhuvaafaru of the atoll as well.
Remarking on the opening of this ATM centre, the CEO and Managing Director of BML Tim Sawyer said that the opening of this ATM centre demonstrates the bank’s commitment to expanding access to convenient banking services across the atoll.
“We look forward to adding more ATMs to our network over the coming weeks to support individuals, businesses and communities across the country.”
The national bank of Maldives boats a network of 35 branches across all 20 atolls, 79 Self Service Banking Centres, 137 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services.
