Bidding for 34 beach side plots in Phase 2 on February 16

The Hulhumale’ Development Corporation (HDC) announced that bidding for the 34 beachside land plots in Phase two of Hulhumale’ will be held on Wednesday, February 16.

In December 2021, HDC announced the sale of 60 land plots in Phase 2.

From this, 26 plots are on the beachfront and the remaining 34 are on the beachside.

According to HDC, applications will be accepted from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm from the second floor of M.Meerumaa Events, while bid opening will take place at 13:00 pm at the same location.

With each form, only a single person can take part in the event, where HDC urged participants to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

HDC said that bid security of MVR 320,000 will be collected from bidders to both types of land plots.

Furthermore, the corporation said that priority will be given to first-time land buyers and those who do not have a residential land plot exceeding 600 square feet in the Male’ area registered to their name this time around

The bidding for the beachfront plots already took place, and as per HDC, by the end of the deadline, a total of 211 forms were submitted.

Currently, efforts were underway to verify details and to confirm the number of valid forms, detailed HDC.
