211 forms submitted for 26 land plots from Hulhumale’ Phase II, HDC verifying validity of forms

A total of 211 forms has been submitted for the 26 plots of land from Hulhumale’ Phase II beachfront by the end of the deadline for applications.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said that currently efforts were underway to check each form separately, in order to confirm the total number of valid forms.

HDC announced the sale of 60 land plots from Hulhuamale’ Phase II on December 27. The 60 land plots announced include 26 plots on the beachfront and 34 plots on the beachside.

Bidding for the 26 plots on the beachfront took place today.

The lowest price for beachfront land plots set by HDC is MVR 3,900 per square foot. The bid form is sold for MVR 500.

Meanwhile, a bid security of MVR 320,000 is collected from all bidders.

HDC said that priority will be given to first-time buyers. Moreover, priority will also be given to buyers who do not have a residential land plot measuring more than 600 squarefoot in the Male’ area registered to their name.

Bidding for the 34 plots on the beachside will take place next Wednesday.
