COVID-19: 76 new cases; 1,832 active cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Thursday, announced 76 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 91,122.      

According to HPA, the 76 new cases include; 15 cases from the greater Male’ region, 55 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 6 cases from operational resorts. 

Meanwhile, 158 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 89,029.    

With the new developments, Maldives now has 1,832 active cases.      

There are 14 patients in hospitals.      

4,441 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 1,280 samples from the greater Male' region. The positivity rate in the greater Male’ area is at 1 percent. 

With the 76 new infections on Thursday, 782 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.  

November 25: 76 cases 

November 24: 102 cases 

November 23: 123 cases 

November 22: 96 cases 

November 21: 124 cases 

November 20: 137 cases 

November 19: 124 cases 

Maldives has recorded 248 COVID-19 deaths.
