Participants of Youth Exchange Program depart to India

A Maldivian delegation comprising of 14 youths has departed to New Deli, India, on Wednesday morning, as part of the India-Maldives International Youth Exchange Program.

Organized by India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this trip will stretch from November 10 to November 17. Participants will be touring India’s capital New Deli, Udaipur and Agra amongst other cities.

The participants will also visit an agricultural university – where they will meet scientists and farmers in addition to learning about modern farming techniques and equipment.

They will also be meeting entrepreneurs from India’s Institution of Management and will inquire about Indian youths’ businesses and start-up ecosystem.

In addition to this, they will also meet non-governmental organizations which advocate the rights of children and promote women's empowerment. Furthermore, they will also visit the main office of Nehru Yuva Kenda Sangthan and clubhouses.

Participants will also be giving a presentation on Maldives. They will also explore the Indian culture and visit historical and tourist locations.

Prior to this, Maldivian youths have taken part in such an exchange program in 2018.
