MVR 20 notes reprinted due to shortage in stock

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) states that MVR 20 notes of the Randhiha Faheh (Golden 50) note series have been reprinted and brought to Maldives. 

In a statement on Wednesday, MMA said the notes were reprinted due to a shortage in the current stock. 

The new stock has been brought to Maldives and is currently stored in the state treasury, said MMA. 

However, the MMA did not disclosed the exact amount of money reprinted.

MMA had reprinted MVR 10 and MVR 100 notes of the Randhiha Faheh series due to a shortage in stock back in 2018. 

The Randhiha Faheh note series, which boasts enhanced security features and is printed on polymer paper, was introduced on November 1, 2015.
