Tree Top Hospital has announced the launch of Skin Prick Testing and Immunotherapy services.

The new service introduced by Tree Top’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Respiratory Medicine Departments for ENT and respiratory conditions –  checks for immediate allergic reactions in guests, paving way for its subsequent treatment.

Skin Prick Testing is a convenient, painless and a quick procedure that is performed using special lancelets that barely penetrate the skin’s service. The test is usually done in order to identify allergies to pollen, mold, pet dander, dust mites, and types of foods.

Skin Prick Testing and Immunotherapy services will be available for those who are above the age of 5.

Tree Top Hospital’s ENT Department helps diagnose and manage diseases of the ears, nose, sinuses, larynx, mouth, and throat, as well as structures of the neck and face.

Respiratory Medicine Department – a subspecialty of internal medicine – focuses on the diagnosis and management of disorders of the respiratory system, including the lungs, upper airways, thoracic cavity, and chest wall. Conditions such as Asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Interstitial Lung Disease, Lung malignancies, Chest infections and Sleep Disorders are treated in this department.

The Skin Prick Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy services at Tree Top Hospital will be offered under the expert guidance of ENT Specialist, Dr. Chandrashekhar Rawal, and Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, Dr. Ragulan Rajalingam.

Dr. Chandrashekhar Rawal – the owner of Rawal Surgical Hospital in Thane, India – is highly experienced in Medical Management and Administration, Emergency Medicine, ICU, and Otology Surgery. He has recently worked at the Health Department, Government of Maharashtra as an ENT Specialist.

Dr. Ragulan Rajalingam who specializes in Respiratory Medicine has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. He is also an Associate Professor at the Chettinad Medical College & Research Institute, India, and is a member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
