Man wounded in attack with sharp object in Addu City

An individual has been wounded in an attack with a sharp object in Addu City.

Maldives Police Service had said that they were informed that a person had been attacked with a sharp object earlier this afternoon around 12:08.

Whilst the Police have not disclosed the island on which the incident took place in – they did reveal that the victim injured in the attack is a 29-year-old man. It was also noted that the victim was currently being treated at Addu Equatorial Hospital.

A media official from Addu Equatorial Hospital said that an individual with trauma to the head was taken into the hospital at around 12:00 this afternoon – and was currently being treated in emergency.

The Police also noted that no one has been arrested in connection to the case – adding that they were investigating the matter further.
