Maldives records additional 78 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 78 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 75,071.

According to HPA, the 78 new cases include; 28 cases from the greater Male’ region, 34 cases from residential islands outside Male’ and 16 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 231 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 72,349.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,496 active cases.

There are 18 patients in hospitals.

6,320 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

July 8:  124 cases

July 7: 139 cases

July 6: 105 cases

July 5: 129 cases

Maldives has recorded 214 COVID-19 deaths.
