MTCC opens applications for ‘Hunavaru’ program, offers MVR 5,000 allowance

Maldives Transport and Construction Company (MTCC) has opened applications for its Hunavaru Technical Skills Development Program 2021 – a program designed to recruit and develop technical skills of young Maldivians.

MTCC said that under the three-month program, the company will train assistant supervisors needed for construction sites, employees needed for road development projects, and welders.

 The program will be run Saturday-Thursday from 07:00 am to 03:00 pm.

Participants will receive a monthly allowance of MVR 5,000, and food and accommodation for applicants who will be required to train outside their home island will be covered by MTCC.

Total 50 spots are available under the program; 30 spots for assistant supervisors at construction sites, 10 spots in road development projects, and 10 spots in welding.

Applications are open for all Maldivians between the age of 18-25 years, provided they have no criminal record.

The applications deadline is June 14, and applicants selected after interviews will start their training on August 15.
