COVID-19: 150 new cases, 11 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 150 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 74,224.

According to HPA, the 150 new cases include; 11 cases from the greater Male’ region, 95 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 17 cases from operational resorts, 7 cases from islands under development, and 20 cases from industrial islands.

Meanwhile, 233 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 70,723.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 3,276 active cases.

There are 20 patients in hospitals.

5,266 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 150 new infections this Saturday, 1,130 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

June 30: 138 cases

June 29: 178 cases

June 28: 155 cases

June 27: 233 cases

Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
