COVID-19: 138 new cases, 13 from Male' area

 Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 138 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 73,798.  

The 138 new cases include; 13 cases from the greater Male’ area, 105 cases from inhabited islands outside of Male’, seven cases from operational resorts, and 13 cases from industrial islands and islands used for other purposes.

Meanwhile, 351 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 69,974. 

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 3,602 active cases.

There are 28 patients in hospitals. 

4,923 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

  • June 30: 138 cases
  • June 29: 278 cases
  • June 28: 155 cases
  • June 27: 233 cases
  • June 26: 150 cases
  • June 25: 266 cases
  • June 24: 212 cases

The Maldives has recorded 210 COVID-19 deaths.
